Product Details
Shield Trousers are made to handle demanding trail conditions, combining durable ripstop construction with flexible comfort for long days on the bike.
Designed specifically for mountain biking, the articulated slim fit with tapered legs keeps fabric clear of drivetrain components while maintaining freedom of movement on technical terrain. The raised back panel provides coverage in dynamic riding positions.
Strategically placed abrasion-resistant panels reinforce high-wear areas at the knees and inner ankles to protect against crashes and repeated friction.
An adjustable waistband system allows you to dial in the fit, while ankle zips help tailor the tapering of the legs.
Finished with durable YKK® zippers throughout, secure double snap waist fasteners and subtle black-on-black embroidered branding.

Aftercare
To maintain performance and water repellency, machine wash on a cool cycle using a technical cleaner such as Grangers Wash + Repel Clothing 2 in 1, which cleans and reproofs in a single wash.
Reproof periodically to keep the trousers performing in wet conditions.

Sizing Tips
- The slim fit means the sizing tends to run slightly small. Customers generally need the larger size that covers their waist measurement.
- High-stretch fabrics provide compatibility with most knee pads.
- A little extra length on the leg inseam was added to prevent them riding up above the ankles while in dynamic positions on the bike.

Lightweight Ripstop Fabric
Odyssey Activewear® Shield Trousers are made from ShieldTex™, a tough fabric composed of a nylon and spandex blend that is capable of withstanding scrapes and abrasions, while also remaining lightweight and flexible thanks to its 4-way stretch feature.
Abrasion-Resistant Panels
High-wear areas are reinforced with a tough but stretchy abrasion-resistant fabric. This kind of ballistic polyamide material was originally developed for flak jackets in WWII, but it has remained popular for use in military and motorcycle clothing that demand protective qualities.
Adjustable Waistband
Dial-in the perfect fit with the elasticated waistband adjusters to keep the trousers firmly in place. The TPU tabs are moulded with integrated velcro grips for quick and easy adjustment.
Quality Finishing Touches
After finding the perfect cut and selecting the ideal fabric we wanted to finish our Shield Trousers with the highest-quality details. YKK® zippers all round, double heavy-duty snap fastenings on the waist, plus luxurious embroidered branding that won’t peel off after a few washes!
